The Polito group is proud to have had experience in tourism for almost 30 years. Founded in 1978, the company is directly managed by brothers Giacomo and Luigi Polito, who, after returning to Italy after years abroad, opened a small family-run hotel surrounded by vineyards. Today, the hotel has become a large, splendid tourist destination surrounded by lush gardens.

In 1989, after seeing their hotel develop and realising what great potential southern Italy as a holiday destination had to offer, they opened a tour operator, IMPERATORE TRAVEL. The first brochure, published in 1990, offered holidays only in Ischia and Capri. However, the company was to expand and become one of Italy’s leading tour operators, with destinations all over southern Italy. The company’s success is due to hard work and commitment to quality and service.

The gradual increase in demand and popularity of southern Italy motivated the company to create an overseas market for incoming tourism, thus inaugurating IMPERATORE HISPANIA in 2003. Based in Madrid, the company is successfully marketing southern Italian holiday destinations with Spanish holidaymakers.

With the development of the tour operator, the company has acquired and developed diverse hotels in Ischia and the Aeolian islands (Vulcano), which have become charming, prestigious resorts with spa centres.
